FA Premier League
En 1992 los 22 equipos de Primera División renunciaron a la Football League y formaron la FA Premier League. Al final de la temporada 1991-92 los ascensos y descensos entre Primera y Segunda División se efectuaron como de costumbre y los 22 equipos que formaron la Primera División de la Football League para la temporada 1992/93 se convirtieron en los miembros fundadores de la nueva FA Premier League.
